Autoconfiguration
Autoconfiguration is the player’s automatic device tuning. It keeps a signage box awake and reachable without anyone touching the device.
What autoconfiguration does
Section titled “What autoconfiguration does”On every boot, the player applies a small bundle of settings:
- keeps the screen awake so the display never sleeps;
- shows over and dismisses the lock screen so content is always visible;
- holds a Wi-Fi performance lock so an idle box keeps reporting in to the Manager.
It needs no root and no special provisioning — it works on an ordinary sideloaded box.
Default state and scope
Section titled “Default state and scope”Autoconfiguration is on by default on every player. There is no switch on the device — you cannot turn it on or off at the screen.
Turn it off (or on) remotely
Section titled “Turn it off (or on) remotely”The only control is in the Manager: on a device, open CONTROLS → Autoconfiguration and toggle it on or off. The choice is saved on the device.
