Plans and billing: frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most about plans, the trial and billing. Each answer links to the article with the full explanation.
Do I lose my content when my subscription expires?
Section titled “Do I lose my content when my subscription expires?”No — your uploaded files are never deleted to fit a smaller quota. When a storage add-on expires, your effective quota shrinks back toward the free base, but existing files stay; only new uploads that would exceed the reduced quota are blocked. See What happens when a storage add-on expires.
What happens when my subscription expires?
Section titled “What happens when my subscription expires?”Devices and storage expire independently. A device plan has no grace: the day it expires, screens beyond your remaining paid capacity stop receiving new campaigns. Purchased storage keeps counting for a short grace window after expiry, then the extra space is removed. See What happens when a subscription expires.
How much does Media24 cost?
Section titled “How much does Media24 cost?”Device licenses use a regressive per-device scale (the more screens, the cheaper each one), and storage sells in a small set of add-on packages. The Plans screen has a live calculator and the full price table for your configuration. See Plans, trial and billing.
How do I start the free trial, and what does it include?
Section titled “How do I start the free trial, and what does it include?”A brand-new workspace can start a 14-day free trial with one click — no card and no operator approval. It grants 3 screens and 20 GB of storage. See Start your free trial.
Can I use the free trial twice?
Section titled “Can I use the free trial twice?”No — the trial is once per workspace, ever. A second attempt is refused with “The free trial has already been used.” See Start your free trial.
Why are devices and storage two separate purchases?
Section titled “Why are devices and storage two separate purchases?”Screens and cloud storage are two independent subscriptions: they are configured on two cards, bought with two separate requests, and each expires on its own term. Buying screen licenses does not add storage, and buying storage does not add screens. See Understand how Media24 licensing works.
How do I pay — is there an online checkout?
Section titled “How do I pay — is there an online checkout?”There is no online checkout. You configure a plan in the calculator and send a request, which a Media24 operator reviews and approves; approval grants the subscription. See Send a purchase request.
How long does approval take?
Section titled “How long does approval take?”An operator reviews your request by hand, and no turnaround time is promised anywhere — plan ahead rather than expecting instant activation. A pending request can be canceled until the operator decides. See Track and cancel your requests.
How does the annual discount work?
Section titled “How does the annual discount work?”Choosing Annual shows a discounted per-month price and charges the year up front. The exact saving depends on your tier: the badge on the toggle shows the real percentage for the plan you configured, and the result panel shows the exact yearly amount. See Choose monthly or annual billing.
Which of my devices count against the licenses I bought?
Section titled “Which of my devices count against the licenses I bought?”Device licensing is capacity-based: a plan for N screens covers your first N confirmed devices, in enrollment order. There is no per-device activation step and nothing to assign. See Understand how Media24 licensing works.
Publishing fails saying no screen has an active subscription — what do I do?
Section titled “Publishing fails saying no screen has an active subscription — what do I do?”Publishing to a screen needs an unexpired device plan (or the free trial). If a campaign is blocked because no targeted screen is entitled, start the trial or buy device capacity, then re-publish. See Plans, trial and billing and The campaign editor.
Is the free base storage free forever, and can I buy less than the smallest package?
Section titled “Is the free base storage free forever, and can I buy less than the smallest package?”Every workspace gets a free base quota that is not purchasable, and paid storage starts at the smallest add-on package on top of it — you cannot buy less than that. See How your storage quota works and Plans, trial and billing.
